OSP still searching at the Landsbanki estate, Luxembourg

with one comment

The Office of the Special Prosecutor is still conducting searches and collecting documents at the Landsbanki estate, Luxembourg, at 2-4 rue Beck. Searches are over at the two other places searched yesterday, April 17. It’s not clear how long the operation at Landsbanki will continue. When the premises of Kaupthing Luxembourg, at Banque Havilland, were searched last year the operation took about a week. It might be the same this time – most likely quite a pond of Landsbanki documents to fish in.

  1. Meanwhile, the Luxembourg administrator Mme Yvette Hamilius, continues with her ultimatums to Landsbanki Luxembourg victims who are told if they do not pay what she says, by the end of May, will have their houses seized in the name of Luxembourg law!

Does Luxembourg not see that their Bank is in very serious trouble in Criminal Courts in France, let alone the other countries including Iceland?

Why is Luxembourg allowing Iceland to take the blame for what they allow to go on under their very noses in this financial place?

Surely Luxembourg must wonder how it is possible that whilst all these Criminal Proceedings are going on in so many different countries, Mme Hamilius can carry on regardelss as if above the legal procedures of Europe?
This is not fair on Iceland, a country which has at least tried to bring the guilty to account and puts Luxembourg to shame and ridicule in my opinion.
